Stephen L. Parker, Attorney (1995-2016)
Born in Bolivia, South America in 1969, Stephen was a native Spanish language speaker. Upon relocating to the United States in 1985, Stephen studied history and philosophy at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri and spent a year at Regent’s Park College at Oxford University in England. He graduated summa cum laude from William Jewell in 1991. Stephen then attended the University of Kansas Law School in Lawrence, Kansas and graduated in 1995 with a Juris Doctor degree.
After passing the Kansas Bar exam in the summer of 1995, Stephen took a position with Kansas Legal Services, serving a 24-county region in Southwest Kansas, focusing on the Spanish-speaking client base in that area of the state.
Following two-plus years working for K.L.S., Stephen relocated to Kansas City, and in the fall of 1997, he opened his own law firm, which is now Abogados Parker & Parker, P.A.
Since 1997, Mr. Parker represented clients in state, federal, and city courts. He was admitted to the United States Supreme Court, in the state courts of Missouri and Kansas, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and in the Kansas Federal District Court and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
